Here I will guide you to restore the web on hawkhost hosting using cpanel. Most other hosting if also using the cpanel manager, the interface will be basically the same.
Step 1 restore wordpress source on hawkhost hosting
You log in to the cpanel management page of hosting hawkhost and find the “file manager“.
You choose the folder containing your website.
In this folder you choose “select all” -> right click on the folder and select “delete” to delete all corrupted old files.
You click the “upload” at the top of the menu bar.
You click the “select files“.
Find and select the previously backed up wordpress source file to upload. Once the download is complete, click on the button “Go back to…“.
After the file has been uploaded, right-click on the file and select “extract“.
A popup will appear, click the “extract files“.
When the decompression is complete, press the “close“.
